Eggs in a Hole |
Ingredients:
- Eggs
- Sliced Bread (one per egg)
- Butter
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions:
- Melt butter in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and lightly grill bread, turn and repeat, adding more butter.
- Remove bread and cut a hole in the center of each piece.
- Return bread (minus center circle) to pan, adding more butter in the hole.
- Crack an egg into each hole and top with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Allow to cook until the bottom of the egg white is set, and flip.
- Allow to cook until white is just set.
- Serve hot.

Step 6:Allow to cook until white is just set. Serve hot. I like to pair with sliced tomatoes, slightly salted.
