Sure, you can drive the 30 miles to Houston and do just about anything you want to do. But what about those nights when you don’t want to stray too far from home?
If you’re looking for some new and interesting ways to spend time in Katy, keep reading. Here are seven fun things to do in Katy, Texas at night.
1. Alternate Reality Escape Room
What makes this place so cool is that there are different rooms with different themes. One is an apocalyptic bunker, one has a steampunk theme, and there’s a scary one where you’ll have to escape from a chainsaw maniac.
All of the rooms are fully immersive to provide a one-of-a-kind experience. Regardless of which room you choose, you’ll need to solve puzzles and riddles to escape your doom.
You can book a room for up to eight people, and you’ll get one hour to figure out the clues and make your escape.
The Alternate Reality Escape Room is open daily until 9 p.m and closes at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
2. Times Square Entertainment
Play games, shoot some pool, or chase down your friends in a game of laser tag at Times Square Entertainment.
This game center has arcade machines, bowling, and plenty more. You’ll be entertained for hours!
It also has a full bar and a casual menu serving up yummy dishes like wings, flatbread pizzas, and burgers.
Times Square Entertainment is open until midnight during the week and stays open late until 2 a.m on Saturdays.
3. Typhoon Texas Waterpark
From the massive wave pool to the lazy river to twisting water slides, this place is fun for the young and the young at heart.
When you need a break from the water, visit the Double T Bar for a beer or head to the Smoke House for some delicious Texas BBQ. It’s full of little spots to eat and drink, and there’s even live music and entertainment on the bar patio.
The park closes at 9 p.m, so get there early in the day to make the most of the experience!
4. Mo’s Place
Mo’s Place is a Katy institution. Open until 2 a.m every night, this bar, restaurant, and live music venue is the place to go for food, drinks, and good times.
The owner, Mo, is all about supporting new talent and showcasing up and coming country artists. The list of acts who’ve played here includes the likes of Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan.
There are different events happening just about every night of the week, including karaoke nights. They have a menu full of munchies, burgers, and sandwiches, and they even have steak dinner nights, which are a big hit.
If you’re a country music fan, Mo’s should be at the top of your to-do list!
5. No Label Brewery
Looking for a chill, laid-back atmosphere where you can sip some craft brews? Head over to the No Label Brewing Co!
This brewery boasts a cool, casual taproom where you can hang out and sample their beers. You can even rent it out for a private party if you’d like.
But there’s more than just amazing beer at this brewery. They also host tons of different events throughout the week, including yoga and trivia.
In addition to their super cool outdoor area, you can expect to see food trucks rolling in and out. After all, nothing goes better with beer than a good meal! You can grab a seat at a picnic table or cocktail table, but it’s best to bring your own chair if you want to be guaranteed a seat.
Live music and entertainment take place outside, and tours of the brewery are available if you want to see how they make their products.
The brewery is open until 10 p.m nightly but closes early at 6 p.m on Sundays. Oh, and did we mention it’s dog-friendly? Bring your pup!
6. Toddy Blends
Toddy Blends is a winery, brewery, and distillery that makes their own flavored vodkas, whiskeys, wines, and craft beers.
And if you’re really in the mood for a good time, you can try their Jell-O shots or grab a drink at their drive-through daiquiri store!
On this site, you’ll find the Toddy Oaks Bar, which is both an indoor and outdoor space. It has a huge deck, an outdoor patio, and an outdoor bar with TVs where you can watch the game.
It also has a stage for live music and entertainment, and it offers lots of comfortable seating so you can hang out all day and all night.
The Toddy Oaks Bar is open until 10 p.m on Thursdays, midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and 6 p.m on Sundays. The drive-through daiquiri shop is open until 10 p.m on most nights and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
7. Chick-fil-A Theme Night
It’s kind of impossible not to love the classic Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich. The next time you’re craving one, head over to the Cinco Ranch or Mason Road locations when they’re having a theme night!
The Chick-fil-A restaurants in Katy host all sorts of different theme nights throughout the year, and they’re fun for the whole family.
Events range from pirate treasure hunts to martial arts classes to fireworks. Just check the event calendar at your favorite location to see what’s happening this month!
