It has been almost 3 weeks since E left on his journey in the army.  To say this experience is anything but a wild ride is not giving the experience any justice.  The whirlwind of emotions is worse now than when I was pregnant with E.  I am doing better than I thought I would, but some days are tough.
I write him letters daily and try to keep myself busy, but the times I am home alone hit the hardest,  The first week I pretended he was in his room and just ignoring me to play video games.  The second week flew by because work has been crazy with the influx of calls over the virus the US is dealing with.
I have "adopted" soldiers to write to, but I am feeling overwhelmed when I am on my own.  Today I went shopping with my sister, Vanessa and we worked on finding items to make a keepsake box for E.  My sister, Mariah found the perfect box to decorate.  I am not one for arts and crafts, but I loved how easy it was for me and the box looks pretty good if I do say so myself.

Any other army moms out there?  Share how you got through your tough days.  I'd love some advice.
