In our regular spring season, many of us fall into the "busy" trap. Spring typically brings outdoor sports, holiday and family celebrations, graduations, weddings, and much more. We often don't take time for ourselves, including proper hair care! This season of "stay-at home" has forced all of us to slow down, me included, so I have been able to spend some extra attention loving on my scalp and hair.  I have thick, coarse, gets frizzy easily, hard to style hair. I've been told other people often dream of having my hair's body and thickness.. but y'all, it gets hard to find the right hair care products. Is anyone with me?

Stylists over the year have suggested shampoos, conditioners, oils, and straightening products that I buy, use, but never seem to see much in results. Along comes the chance to try Masami. What a perfect opportunity to try out their shampoo and conditioner,because, except for the occasional Zoom call, I haven't really had to worry much about my hair's appearance this past month.

Masami sent me the Mekabu Shampoo and Mekabu conditioner to try out on my own hair. The 10 ounce green bottles came in cute reusable linen bags as well as a card outlining Masami's story.

Masami products use Mekabu powder, a Sea of Japan botanical, that helps hair to be hydrated at it's best using Mekabu and other healthy nutrients. Masami products are free of parabens, sulfates, alcohol, silicones, and are color safe, cruelty- free, and vegan. Masami products help keep hair hydrated, because Hydration is Life.



I wash my hair 2-3 times a week, otherwise my scalp gets oily and itchy. With Masami, I noticed a cleaner scalp right away! I don't have product build-up that often happens with other shampoos. At first, my hair did feel slightly more dry than normal, but that often happens when switching out products. I am also in need of a haircut, so I have been shedding a lot! Within a week of using Masami, I noticed that my hair was shedding less, that it felt more hydrated, and definitely had more life than normal. I've never been accused of NOT having body in my hair, but I could really tell that Masami was not only cleaning my scalp but also hydrating my split ends! The conditioner asks you to wait 2-3 minutes before rinsing, which I really do recommend, so that it does have time to properly hydrated. Along with the shampoo and conditioner, Masami also offers styling products. I would say that these products do leave you feeling "Truly Beautiful!".
