One of the reasons I love having hardwood floors is the ease of which I can keep them tidy and clean. However, having hardwood floors also means the need for large area rugs.
Having large area rugs is basically like having carpet when it comes to keeping them clean. Keeping an area rug clean is as easy as the product you are using. It used to be a task that I absolutely would dread having to do because I did not have the necessary products needed to do the job efficiently.
If you didn't catch my previous post about the incredible ONEPWR Spotless Go Cordless Portable Carpet Cleaner, head over and check it out. My spot treatment dreams came true when Hoover sent me that amazing little miracle machine.
However, a few weeks ago my family adopted a precious "little" puppy named Fiona and I quickly realized I would be needing a full carpet cleaning system to take care of house training our new bundle of joy.
This is Fiona Rock Snowflake. She is a Doberman and she is just the love of our lives! My two little boys have fallen in love with this sweet girl. House breaking our new pup has not proven to be as easy as I had hoped. She is super smart and desires to do well but it's just a lengthy process.
The area rug above is where she loves to spend her time. Because of this, my rug was beginning to look quite dingy and dull.
You may not be able to tell from this picture but there are various discolorations throughout the rug from a multitude of spills, accidents and paws (including the little boy variety).
The difference in my rug was amazing! There were (what I thought to be) permanent stains that were lifted with ONE swipe of the SmartWash!

Cleaning my carpets is as easy as vacuuming. There are no buttons to push! You simply move the washer forward and back to scrub and dry the carpet. When I have used carpet shampooers in the past, they were heavy and bulky. There were various buttons for spraying and suction, not to mention the noise of the beastly machines was horrible. The design of the Hoover SmartWash is of the future and I am so excited to make my way through my home to clean the rest of my carpets!
I know this is a little gross but I had to snap a picture of the dirty water that came from my area rug. I would be embarrassed by this if I wasn't more amazed. It's a good feeling to know that when I see my little boys laying on the rug, they are no longer laying in whatever germs were sitting in that dirty water.
If you have dogs, you know that it's not easy to keep carpet smelling fresh. I can honestly say that my carpet smells incredible after using the SmartWash Automatic Carpet Cleaner!
I used the Pet Stain cleaner on my carpet and it worked amazingly well. Next, I would love to try the Revive & Renew.

I’ve had my eye on this for sooo long! I adore my fur babies. But the messes they’ve left? Not so much. Would love to have a Hoover SmartWash to show off my cleaned carpets and rugs to friends without feeling embarrassed by the stains.
