I have always known the importance of the American Flag.  Today we honor the flag and what it stands for... independence and unity.  This year it hits me harder with E serving in the military and with the current state of the country.  We haven't been honoring what the flag stands for.  We have let anger, jealousy, and pride get in the way at times. 

Today I will be making changes to be kinder to people I don't know.  It starts with yourself.  There is a saying that you shouldn't get angry or be mean to others because you don't know what they are going through or what they have been through.  With so much going on in the world with Covid-19 we owe it to each other to lift each other up instead of tearing each other down.  We stand united for a reason.  Today I ask you to be kinder, be more understanding, and love those in your community that builds you up.

Let's build our community. Let's build each other up.
