I heard of Jellystone Park last year and thought it looked liked a fun place to visit. They were running a special a couple weeks ago and we really needed to get out of the house, so I booked a cabin for a Tuesday - Friday. There are many Jellystone Parks but we visited the one in the NC mountains in Golden Valley. Let me tell you about our trip...
We decided on one of the small cabins because Aiden wanted to be up in the loft. The pictures online looked so nice, and we were not disappointed. We arrived on a Tuesday morning around 11:00. I didn't realize that check in was not until 4:00. Oops! But we were able to go ahead and enter, so we drove around and checked it all out. Aiden and Chris got out and played putt putt and Aiden tried out the bouncing pillows. We did not rent a golf cart, but decided it would be needed to get around because this place was huge. We went back to the front office to get a cart and they had gotten our cabin ready early so we would not have to just wait around in our car with our 2 little dogs. I thought that was great customer service. I was very impressed with how friendly the lady at the front desk was. We got into our cabin and it was very nice and very clean. Aiden loved the loft and I loved the screened in porch. The dogs and I sat out there almost the whole trip. The weather wasn't the best while we were there and one of the days it rained the entire day and we couldn't leave our cabin. That was really a bummer, because there was so much to do.
Aiden checked out the bouncing pillow as soon as we arrived and Bolt watched from the car.
Loved being on the screened in porch.
We took groceries and cooked our dinners on the grill.

There are so many activities to do at Jellystone Park. We enjoyed putt putt and gem mining. We didn't get to swim or do laser tag on this trip. We also had a yummy lunch from the little diner each day. Our evening fires were the best. This was such a fun trip that we will definitely go again. And it has made us want a camper. My only negative about this trip was the weather! It rained most of the time that we were there. There were patches of time when it didn't rain and we got out in the golf cart. But even with all the rain, we loved it! Make sure to check out this fun campground and see if there is one near you!
Make some memories!
Sounds like you had some fun times together, glad you and the family got some fresh air. Keep up updated on the other activities if you go back!
