Thank you ChocZero for sending over these fabulous treats in exchange for a review! All thoughts and opinions are my own. I dare guess that most of you, like me, love chocolate. It's sweetness, melt-able layers, and goodness call to the chocolate craving gods deep within us, probably more often than we would care to admit. Our bodies like feeling happy, especially when we eat chocolate (thanks neurotransmitter dopamine), so its no wonder we can't avoid cravings. Some folks say that chocolate helps us reach nutrients we are lacking- like magnesium- as well, but unfortunately, we often grab that really unhealthy, full of processed sugar, piece of chocolate rather than healthier chocolates out there. Healthy Chocolate? Is there such a thing? Well, everything in moderation, right? ChocZero aims to provide quality chocolate that is not full of processed sugars, additives, or anything else that isn't pure. The way we view chocolate needs to be changed! Does anyone else struggle curbing those sweet addictions if you have ignored them too long? With ChocZero, you don't have to worry because their pieces of chocolate are keto-friendly, without the added processed sugars. ChocZero sent over several goodies to test: the Winter Collection Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Cream Truffles, Dark Chocolate Squares, and Milk, Dark, and White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. Confession: I have probably been addicted to peanut butter cups since early childhood. Memories of frozen Reeses surface when I think about my trips to or with my grandparents. Unfortunately, that addiction sometimes can't be curbed and it can hinder my ability to NOT binge out. I'm glad to have found ChocZero. Unless a medical reason dictates the need, I don't believe in denying cravings or certain foods.. I find I go overkill if I try to cut out all sweets, or all salty foods, etc. I'm working on some goals and the doctor reminds me that moderation is key, and gradually changing up diet is key to a healthy lifestyle. With Choc Zero, I can get my cravings fulfilled without extra sugar. The peanut butter cups are sweetened with monk fruit sugar, free of Soy, Dairy, and Palm Oil Additives, and are individually wrapped so that you don't eat the whole bag in one sitting! Each serving has between 70-80 calories, 1 gr of sugar, and no extra sugar additives/ alcohols. I absolutely LOVE the taste of these peanut butter cups. While obviously not as sweet as other brands, they still fulfill my cravings and make me feel better about my body at the same time. The peanut butter is creamy, the chocolate is great, and I still keep them frozen just like I did when I was a kid! In case you don't know, monk fruit is a small fruit found in southern China. It has a history of being used a digestive aid but has recently become a sweetener in many food products. Without getting too much into science, food-makers and nutritionists have discovered how to use it in place of refined sugar so that our metabolisms absorb the sugars and calories better. ChocZero uses a specific recipe that enhances the sweetness of chocolate without all of the extra stuff, which I absolutely love as I continue to dive into my wellness journey this year. If Peanut Butter isn't your thing, ChocZero has your cravings covered with their peppermint, white, milk, or dark chocolate squares . I love dark chocolate so was super excited to try these out- and absolutely LOVE them. The cocoa is prominent, the sugars are not, and its an excellent way to enjoy a piece of chocolate with a cup of tea, milk, or just because you want chocolate! Perhaps Truffles are your chocolate obsession? The Winter Hazelnut Truffle Collection is perfectly delectable! Using keto-friendly milk chocolate, hazelnut, whole creme, and vanilla, these truffles are also sweetened with monk fruit. The right amount of creme covered in a layer of chocolate will surely meet your sweet tooth. The Winter Collection is only available for a short time so make sure to grab it before its gone! ChocZero is working on other flavors that will debut in the spring, though, so keep an eye out if truffles are your game! ChocZero also has baking chips, syrups, spreads, and bark to meet all of your cooking and sweet needs. ChocZero is a perfect treat to indulge in while still trying to meet your health goals this winter! While Valentine's Day has passed, there is always an opportunity to gift yourself or a loved one healthy sugar free chocolate. Perhaps you might even even sneak it into your kid's Easter baskets this year! Want it? Get it! Shop ChocZero to get your delightfully sweet sugarless Peanut Butter Cups, Chocolate Squares, and Syrups/ Spreads! Want it? Win it! One Lucky Reader will win a $50.00 ChocZero Gift Certificate. |
