After much hinting at how much I wanted one, I finally received an InstaPot for Christmas in 2020. I have really enjoyed finding new ways to use it and make meals easier for our family. It has been so much fun trying all the different recipes available and teaching my kids how to use it too! I think my husband and kids are happy I finally got one. I was excited to try the steam diverter (available for LUX and DUO models of InstaPot) and egg bite molds with baking sling from InstaExtras® in my InstaPot.
InstaExtras® is a US based kitchenware small business that specializes in premium grade accessories for electric pressure cookers such as instant pots and more! They sell their items on Amazon. They offer a wide range of accessories.
Steam Diverter
It was difficult to find a place to use my InstaPot as a pressure cooker because I worried about the steam going under my cabinets and causing damage. The steam diverter really worked great at diverting the steam away from my cabinets. I just needed to make sure no one was in the direction I sent the steam. I now use this every time I pressure cook a dish. It is a must have!
Egg Bite Mold with Baking Sling
My family really enjoys egg casserole bites. We usually purchase them from the frozen isle in the grocery store. I didn't really like not knowing exactly what was in them. So when InstaExtras shared their egg bite mold and baking sling with me, I was over the moon excited to give it a try! It was so easy to use and cleanup was just as easy!
First I looked for a yummy recipe on the web! I came across this yummy, easy-peasy one from 365 Days of Slow and Pressure Cooking for Instant Pot Egg Bites. So I gathered all my ingredients and got to work!
After mixing it all together, I filled the egg bite molds with the mixture. I forgot to grease the mold as the recipe says, so I was a little worried about them sticking.
After 8 minutes in the pressure cooker with 5 minutes of setting time, the bites came out looking absolutely divine! The silicone handles on the baking sling weren't even hot, though I did use hot pads to take it out.
I have a Gourmia pressure cooker instead of InstaPot brand. But these should work with it too. If not, my mom has an InstaPot (not sure which model), and she could use these!
