Handmade beeswax candles that are all-natural and such a beautiful hue of deep honey were exactly what I was looking for to update my mantle! Thank goodness for The Beeswax Co.!

They use their granddaddy’s beekeeping tools to burnish each candle they make by hand. They think of their work as a beautiful collaboration between people and bees.

Their hand-crafted process brings out the natural beauty and healthy burning properties of the pure beeswax they collect from combs bees no longer need. They partner with Texas beekeepers, local to them. They collect the combs after each honey flow (the time of the biggest honey production for bees).

They gently melt raw beeswax and siphon off impurities including pollen. Then they take care to add one more craftsman's touch. Using simple beekeeping tools handed down from their granddaddy, they burnish each candle by hand. To burnish is to enhance or perfect an item by rubbing it and shaping it by hand.

The aroma of the hand-crafted candles is honeyed scents from Texas wildflowers, fragrant prairie grasses, citrus, herbs — and even alluring hints of wild berry.

There are more than pillar candles to enjoy! They have everything from votives to three wick candles as well as specialty candles. You can order a few or in bulk. Their website is full of candle burning tips, beeswax recipes, and their beeswax recycling program. They put every bit of beeswax to good use. They happily accept beeswax donations that can be cleaned and pour fresh candles that are given to charitable organizations in their home state of Texas.

Below you will see my updated mantle with The Beeswax Co. candles added in. The rich honey tones really bring depth to our decor. I was so thrilled when it all came together! Aren't they gorgeous?
