I often keep placemats, napkins with rings, and other simple table decor out to make my home feel nicer and to remind me that the table is more than just books, computers, and work related items, yet sometimes they get shoved aside as the table ends up being the "catch- all." Having table decor out reminds me to slow down and actually enjoy my meals, whether alone, with friends, or family. I do love changing out the table decor seasonally, regardless of whether I host a small gathering or not, because it makes me feel more at home.
Yet, I am not a decorator. I do not have an eye for determining patterns, colors, etc and often head towards the neutral or burgundy sections rather than branching out. I HATE trying to piecemeal decor together. Finding matching linens, matching napkin ring holders, and matching charger plates can be a challenge. Stores may not have the appropriate amount, colors might not match, or I dislike patterns offered. Honestly, I don't really like shopping and get overwhelmed at all the choices, so to have something arrive at my door, picked out tastefully and themed, is definitely up my alley!

Angie's Tables sent me the Cheerful Daffodils tablescape to try out. At first, I was hesitant with the bright yellow of all of the linens, as I've always been partials to more neutral colors. When I opened the box, I found a wonderful table cloth, a runner, 4 chargers, 4 napkins, and 4 napkin rings, and two candle holders with candles.
After pulling them out, I immediately decided I loved the entire set! There is something about seeing this bright color when I walk into my front door (after all- apartment life means my table can be seen at the door) and seeing the bright colors of the daffodil napkin ring holders! This set is certainly cheerful and is named so appropriately!
The tablecloth is a checkered yellow and white pattern that looks great with a yellow runner down it's center. The 60" X 102" table cloth and 14" X 108" Satin runner are slightly long for my table, but I've made it work, so I'm confident you can too! If you are hosting, you can break out your wonderful spring/ summer dishes with the charger plates, napkins, and rings to make your home even more festive. Each napkin ring contains a wonderful yellow peony that makes me smile and makes the room look bright and pretty.
Since I don't host everyday, I do keep my table "set" in a couple of the spots, but since I'm still doing work from home, one spot is often for the computers/ books or whatever I'm working on at the time. Some of you may prefer to only break out your Angie's Table sets when you are hosting, but I think I'll keep this one up for a while. After all, we all need a little bit of sunshine, daffodils, and peonies in our lives! You could also liven your table up with some fresh colorful flower arrangements, or swap out your napkins to add other patterns and colors!
