Is there anything better than hanging out with family and friends in the middle of the afternoon during the summer? It's Wednesday, so technically, I'm supposed to just drop a photo and move on to my next task, but this photo is too special to drop and run. This photo signifies the beginning of summer at our new house (oh yeah- we bought a new house!). Our new house is a giant project, and I'm really excited to share details and renovation updates with you guys over the next several weeks (and months), but my kids are stoked to finally have a house with  garage and driveaway, where they can ride bikes, play basketball, draw with sidewalk chalk, and do whatever else they like.

Aunt Vern stopped by to check out our new digs, and B couldn't let her go without challenging her to a game of HORSE. A move & big renovation project has been stressful on our family, but this simple joy brought smiles to everyone's lips yesterday. It's the little things- landscaping, sitting on our new porch, catching fireflies, and a friendly game of basketball with someone very much loved- that makes summer so very sweet.
