Thanks to Elda's Kitchen and That's Mine for sending these great sauces and dressings in exchange for my review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. |
Growing up, I was the pickiest eater in my family. While some of my tastes have broadened, just like any child, I still find it difficult to eat my veggies. In fact, my niece and nephew probably eat their veggies easier than I do! I think, over the adult years, I now have my go to's, one of which includes arugula/ spinach salads.
We know the recommendations for children to eat 1.5 cups of veggies (ages 2-8) is so difficult, let alone for us to eat our recommended 2-3 cups of veggies. This school year, if your children are headed into the classroom and will be taking their lunch, check out That's Mine dressings and sauces.
That's Mine products will be sure fire ways to get your children (and maybe even yourself) to get in your daily intake of veggies. Created by a family who wants their children and grandchildren to be healthy, and eat veggies without arguing, That's Mine aims to connect kids with sauces that are for them!
Find your little Tupperware containers made for dips and dressings, fill them up, tuck them into lunchboxes, and send your child on their way with healthy nutritious snacks. Or, at the dinner table, have a variety available for different palates!
From a ranch to organic ketchup, dips, sauces, and dressings are available to get your family through mealtime. That's Mine sent me several types to try out, and I can definitely say that your family will love finding your favorites!
These flavors are currently offered: Italian, Cherry Balsamic, Lemon Lime Vinaigrette, Mixed Berry, Ranch, and Ketchup.
It's hard to evaluate flavor and taste because everyone has different taste buds. I've never liked lemon or lime flavorings, even separately, so that vinaigrette does not pique my interest. I'm thinking it might be good for broccoli, squash, and maybe even zucchini
The Cherry balsamic is made with white balsamic vinegar and sweet cherry juice flavorings. It has a slightly sweet flavoring, but is hardly acidic at all. I think it would be a great marinade for red meats, but is wonderful on salads. It might be a good glaze for potatoes and richer fall veggies, like acorn squash.
My favorite of the vinaigrette so far is the Mixed Berry. I love all things berries, especially during high berry season. It has a perfect blend of raspberry, blueberry, and strawberry flavorings combined with other ingredients. This has become my favorite salad dressing lately, and I'm sure your children who love berries would also love this one! Don't forget to try it with chicken, green beans, and bell peppers.
For the less adventurous children and adults out there, Ketchup and Ranch are always safe bets. The children and teens I've encountered in my life put ranch on EVERYTHING… From fries to broccoli to pizza. Having a great ranch is a definite necessity. I know my niece + nephew are looking forward to my visit because I'll bring them the That's Mine Ranch and Italian for their snack and mealtimes!
For me, ranch is used for chicken wings and the occasional celery/carrot dip, but ketchup is often my sauce of choice. It is darker than regularly found ketchup, but lacks the sugar and preservatives found in them.
All That's Mine Dressings are GMO free, Organic, and are made with the intention to get kids (and adults) to eat your veggies! Created & made by Elda's kitchen, these sauces, combined with Elda's Kitchen sauces, will have your entire family wanting to sit down at mealtime!
For those whose palates might be slightly more sophisticated, check out Elda's Kitchen sauces. Delicious Cooking and Grilling Sauces are available that are GMO-Free, vegan, gluten-free, and contain no high fructose corn syrup or MSG.
Elda's Kitchen sent over several varieties for me to try out. Whether it's a marinade, dipping sauce, or a creation in the crock pot or stir-fry, these sauces are on point.
I used the Spyki as a dipping sauce and the Hot Wing as a glaze. Both have a kick to them, so if you are not into spicy foods, these sauces are not for you. I actually ended up cutting the hot wing sauce with some honey in order to cut its level down to something my tastebuds can enjoy.
- The Spyki, a teriyaki that has some spicy kick to it
- the Korean Sesame- a stir-fry soy based sauce with ginger, garlic, and lemon
- Ginger Teriyaki- a soy sauce with ginger, garlic, and a lot of sweetness
- Garlic + Herb-great for Italian needs
- Hot Wing-buffalo style hot sauce great for wings, burgers, and more (even try it as a dip for homemade air-fryer onion rings. I ate all mine before taking a photo!)
- Jamaican Jerk-Caribbean flavors brought to your table through citrus and peppers
My daughters love having a variety of dipping sauces on their plates. They love bbq sauce, ketchup, and even spicy sauces.
