July is Social Wellness Month, and it reminds us that interpersonal relationships are a vital part of our physical and mental well-being. Have you ever caught yourself saying "I hate people" or "I'd rather not have to people today"? That's your brain telling you that you are lacking the healthy part of the interpersonal relationship.
I work in customer service and I can't tell you how often I debate my chosen career path. I'm not sure if people changed or I have. I struggle with taking things personally and expect from others what I expect from myself. Truly, I put more pressure on myself because of it. How many of you can relate?
My best advice is to stay true to yourself. Write in a journal the bad moments, the good moments, and your feelings. These moments are fleeting. Life is too short to let a moment define you. Go out for dinner with friends even if it is the middle of the week. Make memories.
