May the fourth is recognized around the world as Star Wars Day. With a husband who is a Star Wars fanatic, I always try to make sure to make May the 4th fun for him!
May 4th is such a great time to do fun things for the Star Wars fan in your life. Although I try to make this a fun day for him every year, a few years ago I gave my husband a Star Wars celebration weekend that I have yet to top.
On the May the fourth weekend of 2019, I took my kids to my parents and went back home to set up the weekend I had planned for my hubby.
The first thing I set out was the matching shirts I made for us. There is a famous quote between Princess Leia and Han Solo where she says “I love you.” And he responds with “I know.” I made shirts with the lines for the both of us.
Friday evening, we had “Han”burgers and watched Episode Four. We then continued the next morning with strawberry cream cheese Leia buns as we continued watching the rest of the episodes. We ended the evening with seven Leia nachos and blue milk and a few more rounds of Battlefront.
Although he is the bigger Star Wars fan in the family, it was so rewarding for me to do things that I knew my husband would love. Looking back it was definitely a weekend that I treasure!
Tonight we will be going to the movie theater to watch the 25th anniversary re-release of Episode 1:The Phantom Menace. I am super excited to spend time with my hubby, without our littles, enjoying something he loves!
