It's been a long time since my last concert. I also think this is the first concert I am going to with my husband where we both like the artists. We follow a lot of social media and we were introduced to Citizen Soldier on Tik Tok. The message in their music is simply understanding mental health and how it effects everyone and their lyrics are the support we all need to hear and may not.
A little over a year ago, I emailed their "fan club" asking if they would ever come up north as they only had shows too far for me to travel to. Almost immediately, I received an email back from Jake, the lead singer. He kept his word and they are coming tonight for a concert.
The moment they went on sale I ordered them back in March and I am taking my husband for his birthday which is tomorrow. I am so grateful for the opportunity and can't wait to get there. I hope you have an amazing Sunday.
PS. Yes, I know it's Sunday night but I took tomorrow off because this old lady will be up past her bedtime.
