The Importance of All Day Foot Care and Comfort

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Responsival. All thoughts are my own.

Are you on your feet all day? If you're like me, you may have periods of time during the day where you alternate between sitting and standing for long lengths of time. Unless you're seated most of the day (think students, working a desk job), most adults spend the majority of their days on their feet. From teachers and childcare providers to healthcare workers, retail workers, and business people, most folks don't get the foot care they deserve.

I used to take excellent care of my feet, and always worked footcare into my daily care routine. Once I became a parent, my own self-care was one of the first things to take a back seat. I've been a mom for nearly fourteen years, have three children, run my own business, and work a contracted musician position (where I'm on my feet for hours at a time), and have very little time to worry about my footcare routine.

Relax when you can! It's a good idea to sit with your feet up every once in a while.

It wasn't until I began my newest contracted position as part of my church's music staff that I realized how much I needed to pay more attention to my feet. I started noticing how dry my heels were becoming, and how much my feet were hurting, even when wearing comfortable shoes. I quickly learned that shoe insert cushions were a must for me. Foot Petals offers so many wonderful options for foot comfort! There are tons of different cushioned inserts that you can easily add to different parts of your shoes or sandals. If you need extra cushion and support for heels, arches, the balls of your feet, the back of the heel, or even comfort for ankle straps, there's an insert for that.

Simply add these clever inserts to your favorite shoes or sandals. They're super discreet, and no one will be able to tell they're there except for you. You'll immediately notice the difference in your level of comfort. I like to add these to my 'Sunday shoes,' which are typically sandals, dressy flats, and sometimes heels. They add that extra layer of comfort and protection for my feet, making it easier to stand for long lengths of time.

Adding cushioned inserts to sandals while working or playing is a smart decision. Your feet will surely thank you for thinking of them.

I travel a lot for work, and take one or two vacations with my family each year. We usually get dressed up and go out shopping, and have a nice meal or two out, and I like to dress a little nicer when we do that. Our last big family vacation took us to Florida for five days at Universal Studios, a day at Disney World, and an evening out at Disney Springs. Talk about needing comfortable footwear and care! I wore sandals the entire trip, making sure they fit comfortably, and were going to give me the support I needed for all day walking/standing. My sandals of choice were Chacos (my husband's favorite), and everyone in our family wound up with a pair of Chaco classic sandals for the trip. They can be pricey, but it was absolutely worth it for the comfort we all experienced.

Don't forget about foot comfort this fall. As we head back to school, back to work full force, and get back into 'busy mode,' take time to take care of yourself. Make it a routine part of your wellness plan to invest in products that will keep you comfortable. It's 100% worth it.

What types of products do you use to keep your feet comfortable? Have you ever tried shoe inserts?
