Savor Baked Goods Longer With Keeki Beeswax Bags

Thanks Keeki, for sending over these beeswax bags in exchange for a review. All thoughts are my own.

Bread lovers, rejoice! There is finally a container made specifically for that long loaf that your family isn't able to finish in one meal.

I love my bread, for sure, but a half loaf or full loaf often goes bad before I can eat it. I don't have anything designed to hold bread and keep it stable & fresh, so it goes bad quickly. In fact, I recently lost a loaf of bread, because the beeswax linens I did have didn't cover it all the way, so air got in and it went moldy rather fast.

If this sounds like you, then check out Keeki.

Keeki beeswax bags are the perfect addition to any holiday gift list if your friends and family are bread makers or bread eaters! Store bought bread has preservatives in it that makes it shelf stable, but baking fresh bread, while entertaining and cathartic, often means it will go bad faster.

Keeki beeswax bags are designed to protect your breads as much as possible. The outside is 100% linen, while the inside is beeswax.

Place your bread's cut end into the bag first, pull the drawstring, and help your bread stay fresher longer.

Now, the Keeki bag isn't mold proof, and because food particles are in it a lot, it still needs regular cleansing. Shake out loose crumbs, wipe the interior with a cool damp cloth. If the bag needs washing for some reason, try to handwash with cool water (no hot).

When I first received the two bags, I noticed that they are stiff. An attached note suggests that with regular use, the beeswax will soften, making it easier to utilize the bags. Also, the attached note suggests using different colors for different items: breads, baked goods, veggies, and even fruits!

Why would you want Keeki in your kitchen collection?

Well, I think this bag will help your holiday foods stay fresher longer, and will alleviate food waste. From your Thanksgiving dinner rolls to your Christmas morning muffins, these bags will definitely be used. I don't have any fresh bread right now, but I did just purchase some fruit, so want to test that out and see how it does! Fruit often goes bad in my fridge. Being just one person, it's hard to get through it all!

As far as fruits, the bags are great for transporting berries, apples, oranges, peaches, and the like. These might be good ways to take gift items to parties as hosting gifts, or just load up your vehicles for holiday vacations.

In the summer, these bags will be a lifesaver as fruit flies won't be able to swarm your beautiful bounty while it's sitting in a bowl! Here in the south, these pesky creatures ALWAYS find their way in, so I'm kind of excited about this option! Berries and grapes can be placed into the bag in their original packaging, which allows for moisture to escape, but protection to occur!

I am particularly excited to have a way to cover up my chocolate croissants so that they last longer. Ziplock bags make them dry out and get moldy rather fast, the fridge dries them out too, so the Keeki bag should work wonders!

This holiday season, be sure to grab a Keeki bag (or three) for all your friends and family. These will make perfect hosting gifts! In fact, grab a loaf of bread, muffins, or whatever your heart's content is and transport in the bag itself.

This would also be a perfect white elephant gift too-fill it with baked goods or treats and the bag is its own wrapping!
