Are you getting ready to "pound" the concrete (floors) during Black Friday next week? If you are anything like me, shopping is detrimental to your feet and the muscles. The walking, the standing, the lack of support, and most likely improper footwear lead to aching, cramping, and even internal screaming after being in the kitchen for half the week, Black Friday shopping, and the like.
Save your feet and sanity by grabbing Mountrax's Foot Massager off Amazon. This little machine has been a life ..erm.. foot.. saver for me. I walk Chachi around 4 times a day, and between those walks and work, gain around 11,000 steps a day. More so during the holiday season because everything is just insane!
My feet & calves cramp super easily. I stretch. I consume water. I stretch again. Yet, those muscles don't seem to get relief without some massaging. I see a PT massage regularly because my body holds stress in like a brick wall, but the Mountrax Foot Massager is amazing to have at home for those in between times.
What is it?
The shiatsu based machine offers heat, three levels of compression, and three levels of kneading to dig into the tension our feet hold onto throughout the day. The electric machine also comes with a remote and removable washable linings for each foot console.
Shiatsu massages, developed by Chinese medicine centuries ago, offers manual pressure on various points of the body to bring wellness and healing. Traditional chinese medicine believes that our feet hold the key to wholeness and wellness within our bodies. Restoring certain areas through pressure points leads to balance, mobility, stress reduction, and relief.
Shiatsu is designed to apply direct pressure to improve circulation and one's internal energy system.
What does the Mountrax Foot Massager do?
- Three levels of kneading: Low, Medium, and High. The kneading occurs with two independent rolling heads that offer sweet relief to your muscles.
- Three levels of air compression intensity that impacts how your kneading experience occurs, too. The levels are low, medium, high. Air compression helps with muscle fatigue and soreness. It can get pretty tight, so definitely start with the low level until you become used to the impact.
- Heat that can be turned on or off. Heat helps improve circulation and, of course, keeps your feet nice and warm!
- Try out different angles so that your feet receive the best impact possible. The diagram shoes the projected impact, but depending on your foot's structure, it may not feel enough or may feel "too much", so adjust compression and kneading as necessary. For me, I have found that I desire deeper digging into my arches, so I've had to move feet around in the consoles to get at the best angles.
- A 15 or 30-minute timer can be set. It is recommended to take breaks between services so that the machine can cool, and your feet can be restored. It's not recommended to go beyond 30 minutes at one time as it can cause pain or stiffness.
- Follow instructions of your doctor if pregnant, if you have specific foot conditions, and other health concerns that may cause blood clots or worse.
