My Most Loved/ Hated Easter Candies

Easter Candy is abundant in my office right now! For the last two weeks, our church has collected candy and fun toys for our annual church egg hunt, which is held in two Saturdays.

Yesterday, one of our women's groups spent their afternoon stuffing eggs with our lavishly donated supply of candy.

Hearing about their own personal likes/ dislikes and what candies were available when they were children had me think back to my top favorite candies I loved getting in my Easter basket.

1) Reese's Cups. Always. My grandfather had these in plentiful stock all the time. In fact, I remember him buying the packages of 10 and keeping them in the freezer (still a habit of mine, by the way).

2) Hershey's Kisses. While they aren't Reese's, they are the next best chocolate to a little kid's heart (especially pre European chocolate travels).

3) Cadbury Mini Eggs. Later on in life, that translated to Cadbury Chocolate bunnies (although I hated to eat the bunny's ears!)

Top favorite candies I couldn't stand included:

1) Tootsie Rolls. Seriously, who DOES like those?

2) Starbursts. Always gave them to my sister!

3) Peeps. It's a texture thing.. and a colors' thing too.

4) Jelly Beans. I'll eat them in moderation now, but they still aren't a fav.

What about you?

What love/hate Easter Candy relationships did you have growing up?
